Measure up
Start by measuring the maximum height and width of the wall you want to paint. Then multiply the two measurements together to get the overall square meterage. Do the same for your windows and doors and then subtract from your overall square meterage.
How many coats of paint on the wall?
The quantity of paint you need will be determined by the amount of coats. We always recommend two coats of your chosen colourful top coat for even coverage. Multiply your final square meterage by two (that allows for 2 top coats)
Last bit of adding up
Take the total number that you just calculated and divide the number by how many square metres per litre are listed on your paint tin. This will provide you with the amount of paint that you will need for your project.
